1. I think of a number, subtract 4, multiply the result by three and end up with an answer that is two less than the number I first thought of. Find the number I first thought of.
I tried x - 4 x 3 = x - 2
x - 12 = x - 2
x - x = -2 + 12
= 10
I dont know where I went wrong



2. I think of a number, add two, multiply the answer by three and then subtract 11. This gives an answer equal to twicw the number first thought of. Find the number first thought of

I tried x + 2 x 3 - 11 = 2x
x + 6 - 11 = 2x
- 5 = x
I got it wrong but I dont know where I went wrong



3. I think of a number, double it, add three, multiply the result by two, take away the first number I first thought of and end up with 27. Find the number I first thought of
I tried 2x + 3 x 2 = x - 27
2x + 6 = x - 27
x = -21
where am I going wrong?
