• Total cost is $58,000

Answer by Grinnell(63) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Daniel-son Take a deep breath Wax on Wax off...
First let x be the amount of Radio Ads.
THEN (60 + x) is the amount of Television Ads.
For every radio ad, $2000 is spent.
For every television ad $3000 is spent.
Total amount to be spent is $580,000.
SOOO, off to the races.
2000x PLUS $3000(60+x) =580,000
2000x PLUS 180,000 PLUS 3000x=580,000
LET'S DIVIDE ALL BY 1000--KEEPING IT SIMPLE...
2x + 180 + 3x =580
5x=400
x=80! 80 radio ads and 140 television ads. You do the check! Have a good day!!!!!
