Question 277256: Hi I was wondering if I could have help with this word problem:
A skydiver jumps out of a plane that is flying 2500 metres above the ground. The skydiver's height, h, in metres, above the ground after t seconds is
h(t)=2500-4.9t^2. The skydiver's parachute opens at 1000 m above the ground. After how many seconds does this happen?
I am in a calculus course, so I am farmiliar with differentiation, and have already derived this function.
