Question 276033: There are 24 questions on the test. Each question is worth ether 4 or 5 points. The test is worth 100 points. How many of each type of question are there?
My problem with this problem is I've never seen a word problem like this.
This is what I started to do:
Let x= 4 point questions
Let y= 5 point questions
x+y=24
4x+5y=100
Am I on the right track?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
so far so good.
and you will find that x=20 and y=4
20+4=24
80+20=100
