4 ft 11 1/2 inches
We have to borrow some inches and also maybe convert fractions to improper fractions
let's convert from 1/2 to 8ths
1/2=4/8 We don't need improper fractions today
8 ft 19 7/8 inches
4 ft 11 4/8 inches
4 ft 8 3/8 inches remaining.
