Step 1. y/x = constant since y varies directly as x.

Step 2. y=1/4 at x=3/2. So constant is y%2Fx=%281%2F4%29%2F%283%2F2%29=%281%2F4%29%282%2F3%29=1%2F6

Step 3. Then at x=54, then y%2F54=1%2F6

y=54%281%2F6%29=9

Step 4. As a check y%2Fx=9%2F54=1%2F6
