Question 19580: Good Evening:
First I would like to thank you for your help.
the number of inquires at the local representative's office the first week was 15. the number of inquiries the 4th week was 79. find the average rate of change (the slope) in number of inquiries from the 1st week to the 4th week.
I think the might be 79-15 =64 divide by 2 which is 32.
Could you please let me know if I am doing the problem correctly?
Thanks again

You can put this solution on YOUR website! YOUR EAGERNESS TO DO BY YOUR SELF AND GET CHECKED IS VERY IMPRESSIVE...SEE MY COMMENTS IN BOLD LETTERS
the number of inquires at the local representative's office the first week was 15. the number of inquiries the 4th week was 79. find the average rate of change (the slope) in number of inquiries from the 1st week to the 4th week.
I think the might be 79-15 =64
VERY GOOD CORRECT
divide by 2 which is 32...WHY 2 ?..1 ST TO 4TH. WEEK IS 4-1=3 WEEKS...IS IT NOT ?
SO DIVIDE WITH 3 AND GET THE ANSWER...
Could you please let me know if I am doing the problem correctly? 64/3 IS THE SLOPE 0R ENQUIRIES PER WEEK...
