You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Trains A and B are traveling in the same direction on parallel tracks. Train A is traveling 100 MPH and train B is traveling at 104 MPH. Train A passes a station at 9:20P.M. If train B passes the station at 9:50P.M. at what time will train B catch up to train A.
------------------------
B passes the station 1/2 hour after A, so A is 50 miles away (100 mph times 1/2 hour).
A is approaching B at 4 mph (104 - 100). To gain 50 miles at 4 mph will take 50/4 = 12.5 hours.
9:50 PM + 12.5 hours --> 1020 AM the next day.
