The area of the light swtich is the area of the plate minus the area of the hole
Area+=+AreaPlate+-+AreaHole
Area+=+%287%2A5.5%29+-+%281.2%2A+0.3%29
Area+=+38.5+-+0.36
Area+=+38.14 square inches
At 4.27 per square inch, the toal cost is Cost+=+4.27+%2A+38.14
Cost+=+162.86
That's one expensive light switch.
