Question 143131: Hi. I don't know if I have enough information for this question:
"A clothing store is having a sale: Buy two t-shirts for $17.99 and get a third for free. If you spent $89.95 on t-shirts, how many did you get total?"
Does that mean I buy two shirts at $17.99 each or $17.99 for two of them?
I keep coming up with two different answers- 7 and 15.
Help!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
$89.95 is 5 times $17.99, so he bought 5 sets. 2 and 1 free times 5 is 15.
