What does it mean to refer to a 20-in. TV set or a 25-in. TV set? Such units refer to the diagonal of the screen. A 10-in. TV set also has a width of 8 inches. What is its height?
I do not understand how to figure this problem out.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! THE REFERENCE TO THE 20 IN, 25 IN OR 10 IN. TV SET IS THE MEASUREMENT OF THE DIAGONAL MEASUREMENT.
SO IF YOU HAVE A 10 IN. DIAGONAL & ONE WIDTH IS 8 IN. THEN THE OTHER DIMENSION IS:
X^2+8^2=10^2
X^2+64=100
X^2=100-64
X^2=36
X=6 INCHES FOR THE MISSING HEIGHT.
