An isosceles triangle is one in which the measures of two of the sides are equal. The perimeter of an isosceles triangle is 39 mm. If the length of the equal sides is 6 times the length of the third side, find the dimensions of the triangle.

The small side is x
the two equal sides are 6x each
the perimeter is the sum of the three, or 6x+6x+x=13x
that equals 39
x=3
the sides are 3, 18, and 18
