You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
Step 1. Divide both sides by n%2F2. You will get S%2F%28%28n%2F2%29%29 = 2a + (n-1)*d, or %282%2AS%29%2Fn = 2a + (n-1)*d. (1)

Step 2. In (1), subtract (n-1)*d from both sides. You will get 2a = %282S%29%2Fn - %28n-1%29%2Ad. (2)

Step 3. In (2), divide both sides by 2 and get the ANSWER a = S%2Fn - %28%28n-1%29%2Ad%29%2F2.
