Question 1073662: Katrina just move into a new house and wants to brighten up the dining room wall by hanging 6 of her favorite decorative plates. Each plate is 8 inches in diameter and she wants to hang them in a straight line along her 104- inch wall. She also wants to keep the same amount of open space between each plate and between the plates and wall edges on each side. How wide should each space be?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Each plate is 8 in. in diameter, and there are 6 plates; which take up 48 in of a 104-in. wall. Assuming equal spacing between the plates from each other, and the border, makes 7 spaces.
104-48=56 inches of space
56/7=8 ins. between plates from each other and the outside borders. ☺☺☺☺
