You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let B = number of boys and D = number of dogs.
And, of course, dogs have 4 legs (usually) and boys have 2 legs (normally) and boy and dogs each have 1 head (hopefully).
So, you can write:
%282%29B+%2B+%284%29D+=+104 Total number of legs.
B+%2B+D+=+32 Total number of heads. Rewrite as: B+=+32-D and substitute into the 1st equation.
2%2832-D%29+%2B+4D+=+104 Simplify and solve for D, the number of dogs.
%2864+-+2D%29+%2B+4d+=+104
64+%2B+2D+=+104 Subtract 64 from both sides.
2D+=+40 Divide both sides by 2.
D+=+20 There were 20 dogs.
B+=+32-D
B+=+32-20
B+=+12 There were 12 boys.
