Let price / kg of silver = +s+
Let price / kg of platinum = +p+

(1) +1%2As+=+1.6%2Ag%0D%0A%282%29+%7B%7B%7B+1%2Ag+=+1.25p+

(1) +1%2As+=+1.6g+
and
(2) +1.6%2A%28+1%2Ag+%29+=+1.6%2A%28+1.25p+%29+
(2) +1.6g+=+2p+
And, from (1)
+1%2As+=+2p+
So, 2 kg of platinum has the
same value as 1 kg of silver
