Question 1010531: 20 high school seniors are athletes. Of the seniors, 12 play soccer, 5 run cross country and 2 play soccer and run cross county. If one senior is selected at random for an athletic scholarship, what is the probability that the student is either a soccer player or a cross country runner?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 19, assuming that those who play soccer and run cross country are not double counted.
The probability is 0.95.
If the wording was meant to be that 10 did soccer only, 3 did cross country only and 2 did both, then the probability would be 0.25.
