Question 1008985: Please help me solve this problem:
Recorded here are the germination times (in days) for sixteen randomly chosen seeds of a new type of bean:
21, 14, 20, 19, 17, 10, 10, 13, 19, 12, 12, 16, 11, 21, 22, 20
Assuming that germination times are normally distributed, find a confidence interval for the mean germination time for all beans of this type. Then complete the table below.
Carry your intermediate computations to at least three decimal places. Round your answers to one decimal place.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Hopefully you have a calculator to find mean and std of the data set.
mean = 16.063
std = 4.313
---------------
For 95% CI::
ME = 1.96[4.3l3/sqrt(16)] = 2.113
-----------------
95% CI:: 16.063-2.113 < u < 16.063+2.113
------------
Cheers,
Stan H.
