Since there are 3 feet in a yard, there are 3^3 = 27 cubic feet in a cubic yard.
Thus 6 cubic yards are 6 x 27 = 162 cubic feet.
If 90 have been used, then there are
162 - 90 = 72 cubic feet left.

6 cu yds are 162 cu ft.
Subtract the 90 used, and there are 72 cu ft left.
