Question 234895: In my textbook these are called Perimeter Problems. I'll greatly appreciate any help I can get! If I can get help before Thurday November 4, it will be even more appriciated seeing as though I have a quiz on this chapter that evening!
One side of a triangle is three times the shortest side.
The third side is 7 feet more than the shortest side.
The perimeter is 62 feet. Find all three sides.

3)3 times the first of three consecutive numbers is 4 more than 2 times the second.

Question 237420: I'm not sure how to set this up. " A Cathedral tower 200 feet high is 250 feet from a chruch tower 150 feet high. On the top of each tower is a pigeon. The two pigeons fly off at the same time and at the same speed directly to some grain on the level straight road between the towers. The pigeons reach the grain at the same time. How far is the grain from the foot of the cathedral tower?"
I was thinking of using the Pythagorean Theorem formula but, I didn't know which numbers to use for which.
please help if you can.

The phillips paper company makes rectangular peices of cardboard for packing computers. The sheets of cardboard are to have and area of 99 square inches and the length of a sheet is to be 5 inches more than 2/3 its width. Determine the length and width of the cardboard to be manufactured.
I have tried 99=(2/3w^2 +5)(w) since Area= L X W so i get 99= 2/3w^2 +5w then i set it to 0 and i try to factor over and over again im just getting no wou
sihere please help!
