A rectangular room is 14ft by 12ft. A carpenter plans to instll molding along the top of each wall. What is the perimeter of the room in feet?
This is my answer. 52
14x14=28
12x12=24
28+24=52ft

A= 1/2 bh --------- 48= 1/2(3x-2)(x)------- 48=1/2(3x^2-2x)---------- 96=3x^2-2x---- 0= 3x^2-2x-96--------- 0=(3x-?)(x+?)
*** the carrot 2 means "three x squared"
