Question 150873: to carpet a room 12ft by 11ft,how many square yards do I need to buy?
At $27.00 per square yard, what would it cost?
I know to change feet to yard, I get 4 yds x 3 and 2/3yds = 12 2/3 yds, But they say it should be 14 and 2/3 yds, how did they get this.
I also can't figure out how they are taking 14 and 2/3 x $27.00 to get a cost of$396.00
I am really confused and would be grateful for any help on this.
