Question 1139258: Jeff is designing the rectangular top of a pool table with a width of 4 ft, length of 8 ft, and thickness of 2 ft. The base that he is putting the table on can hold a maximum of 2,000 lbs. If 1 cubic foot of the material weighs 31 lbs, the pool table's base holds the weight of the table top?
Side Note: I'm pretty sure I had to find the area if the rectangular top of the pool table which I got 32 from by multiplying 4 and 8.
