Question 991573: THe measures of 2 angles are in the ratio 5:3 . The measure of the larger angle is 30 greater then half the difference of the angles. Find the measure of each angle.
I don't know how to start this problem, or the steps I would take to solve it, Could you help me?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Start by naming the two angles, A and B.
Then write down what you know mathematically.
.
.
.
Ratio of 5:3.
A%2FB=5%2F3
3A=5B
.
.
.
The larger angle is A since 3 A's make up 5 B's.
So,
A=30%2B%28A-B%29%2F2
Multiply by 2,
2A=60%2BA-B
A%2BB=60
Multiply by 3.
3A%2B3B=180
Now substitute from above,
5B%2B3B=180
Now solve for B.
Then go back and solve for A.
