You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For trapezoid with bases a and b and height h:
Area=%28%28a%2Bb%29%2F2%29%28h%29
150m%5E2=%28%2814m%2B16m%29%2F2%29h
150m%5E2=%2830m%5E2%2F2%29h
150m%5E2=%2815m%29h Divide each side by 15m.
10m=h ANSWER: The height of the trapezoid is 10 meters.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Area: A
One base: a
Other base: b
height: h
Area of the trapezoid: A=%28%28a%2Bb%29%2F2%29h Multiply both sides x 2:
2A=%28a%2Bb%29h+Divide+both+sides+by+%28a%2Bb%29%3A%0D%0A%7B%7B%7B%282A%29%2F%28a%2Bb%29+=+h Substitute, using numbers in the problem:
%282%28150%29%29%2F%2814%2B16%29=+h
%28300%2F30%29+=+h
10 = h, rewrite to make it pretty:
h = 10 This is the height of the trapezoid.
