Question 952268: The area of a rectangle is 384 square yards. The ratio of the length to the width is 3:2. Find the actual length and width of the rectangle.
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! "The ratio of the length to the width is 3:2"
So length = 3x and width = 2x for some number x.
A = L*W
384 = (3x)*(2x)
6x^2 = 384
and I'll let you finish up.
