P = 2lengths + 2widths
P = 324
L = 2W-6
Take the known value of L from the bottom equation and put it into the top.
P = 2L + 2W
324 = 2(2W-6) + 2W
Distribute
324 = 4W-12+2W
324 = 6W-12
Add 12 to each side
336 = 6W
Divide each side by 6
width = 56
If the width is 56, then the length is double that 112 minus 6, or 106
106+106+56+56 = 324
