Question 872579: A water slide is 26 feet high. The angle between the slide and the water is 36.5 degrees. What is the length of the slide?

Let the length of the slide be x ft
For an angle A, sin A = Height/Hypotenuse
Height=26 feet and Hypotenuse is the length of the slide (x)
sin 36.5=26/x
x=26/sin 36.5
x=43.71
Hence, the length of the slide=43.71 feet
