First, multiply both sides by 5, to give
%285%2A2x%29%2F5+=+-10%2A5

the lefthand side...the 5's cancel: this was the point:

2x+=+-50

Now divide both side by 2, to give
%282x%29%2F2+=+-50%2F2

hence x = -25
