there are 35 highlight_green%2840in%29 lengths:
Each of the 40in lengths will allow for 6 whole pieces of 6 1/4 in long to cut from it. (the rest is waste)
6 1/4 in is 25/4 in
%2840%2F%2825%2F4%29%29=+40%284%2F25%29 = 160/25 = 6.4, 6 can be cut from each 40in length.
So the total number of pieces from all of the 40in lengths is:
6•35 = 210 pieces in all
