Question 8058: I have looked at this till i can not see and i have no idea what is wrong.
Question is:
A common mistake when solving equations is the following
The equation: 2(x-2)=x+3
First step in solving: 2x-2=x+3
Write a clear explination of what error has been made. what could be done to avoid this error..
That is how it is wrion in the book can you help me thanks so much!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! the 2(x-2) means everything inside is to be multiplied by the outer number, the lefthand 2.
Multiplying it out gives 2x - 4.
As for doing something to get it right, well, sorry...learn the process, practice it and don't make silly mistakes :-)
