Right angled triangle.
Vertical side = Bus going North
Base side = Bus going East.
After 2 hours:
the bus going North will have driven 80 km
the bus going East will have driven 50 km
Distance between buses = Hypotenuse of triangle.
Vertical side^2 + Base side^2 = Hypotenuse^2
80^2 + 50^2 = Hypotenuse^2
Hypotenuse^2 = 8900
Hypotenuse = sqrt%288900%29
Hypotenuse = 94.3 km.
This is how far apart the buses are.
