Question 7893: A triangle has perimeter 29 cm. The sides have lengths that are consecutive odd integers. What is the length of the longest side? I have tried x+x+2+x+4=29, but apparently this is not right since I can't come up with an answer. Can you help? Answer by CharStar(110) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! You have the right idea, yet you said that they have have consecutive Odd numbers, so you would use Odd number (1,3,5...).
The Perimeter formula of a Triangle is
side 1 = x
Side 2 = x+1
Side 3 = x+3
This answer will not give you an even answer
