Let the width of the flag be w cm.

Therefore, the ratio of length is to width is given by 100%2Fw=5%2F2
i.e. w+=+2%2A100%2F5=40

Length = 100 cm, width = 40 cm

Area = 100 x 40 = 4000 sq cm.
