Question 696213: The largest angle of a triangle is three times the measure of the smallest angle. The measure of the remaining angle of the triangle is the average of the measures of the largest and the smallest angle. Write the system og equations that you would solve to find the measure of each angle of the triangle. Also, give the measure of each angle of the triangle.

The largest angle of a triangle is three times the measure of the smallest angle. The measure of the remaining angle of the triangle is the average of the measures of the largest and the smallest angle. Write the system og equations that you would solve to find the measure of each angle of the triangle. Also, give the measure of each angle of the triangle.
------
Let the smallest be "x".
Largest is 3x
3rd angle is (3x+x)/2 = 2x
---------------------------------
Eqatuion: x + 2x + 3x = 180
6x = 180
x = 30 degrees (smallest angle)
2x = 60 degrees (3rd angle)
3x = 90 degrees (largest angle)
