You can put this solution on YOUR website! the length of a rectangular box is twice the height, (L=2xH) and it's height is twice the width (H=2xW, or H/2=W). if the volume (LxWxH) of the box is 1000 cubic inches, what is the height of the box in inches? Substitute 2H for L, and H/2 for W, ad leave H as H. Now multiply LxWxH, except substitute 2H for L and H/2 for W: 2H*H/2*H=1000 cubic in. so,multiply and reduce, then you get H cubed= 1000 inches cubed. Take the cubed root of each side of tis equation, to reduce it: that leaves H=10cm. So W=5cm, ad L=20cm.
