P = 2*L + 2*W
80 = 2*L + 2*W
40 = L + W
Let x and (40-x) represent the width and length respectively
Question states***
%2840-x%29%2Fx+=+5%2F3 | Cross Multiplying to solve
5x = 3(40-x)
8x = 120
x = 15cm, the width. The Length is 25cm. (40cm-15cm)
CHECKING our Answer***
25/15 = 5/3
