This is not a rate of work nor a classic pool filling problem. I moved it to geometry. It is just asking the volume of the pool in gallons.
You need the formula for the volume of a cylinder.
diameter 7 feet [radius is 3.5 ft] and depth 8 inches
v=3.14* r^2 *h
3.14*3.5^2*2/3
307.72 cu feet
which will give you cubic feet
1 cu foot =7.481 gallons
2302 gallons
