Perimeter = 40 yards
==> 2(length + width) = 40
==> 2( x + 1.5 + x ) = 40

==> 2( 2x + 1.5 ) = 40

==> ++2x+%2B+1.5+++=+20+

==> ++2x+%2B+1.5+-+1.5+++=+20-1.5++

==> ++2x+++++=+18.5+
