Question: Chris bought a new tv. The length of the screen is 28 inches and the width is 21 inches. The "size" of the tv is determined by the diagonal distance between two corners of the screen. What is the length of the diagonal of Chris's tv screen?
I've been trying to figure put the wording and what equation to use and I guessed Pythagorean theorem and needed to know if the equations right, and if not what the equation is.
Please and thank you! Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! TV length =28
width = 21
The diagonal =?
Pythagoras theorem
21^2+28^2= d^2
1225=d^2
take the square root on both sides
d= 35 inches
