Question 411423: The width of a rectangle is 2 inches shorter than the length. If both the width and he length are increased by 6 inches, the area is increased 216 square inches. Find the length and the width of the rectangle.
My equation is: Length= L Width= L-2

My work so far (L * L-2) + 6 --> (L+6)* ((L-2)+6)
Am I correct so far, If not, please show correct way and how/ why it is done that way. Thanks --Nienyotza
