You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2*4+2(X+3)=2*3X OR 8+2X+6=6X OR 4X=14 OR X=14/4 OR X=3.5
PROOF 2*4+2(3.5+3)=6*3.5 OR 8+2*6.5=21 OR 8+13=21 OR 21=21

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
perimeter of triangle = perimeter of rectangle

2x+2x+2x = 4+(x+3)+4+(x+3) ... (simplify)

6x = 14+2x ... (subtract 2x from both sides)

4x = 14 ... (divide both sides by 4)

x = 3.5

Now you can replace x with 3.5 for each equation:

Perimeter of triangle = 6x = 6(3.5) = 21

Perimeter of rectangle = 14+2x = 14+2(3.5) = 21
