Question 38681: I am trying to determine the slope of a backyard to set an above ground swimming pool. The manufacturer states a slope of greater than 3 degrees is not suitable. Great but how can I determine the level of slope present?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The slope is colloquially given as "rise over run."
That is, you measure how much the vertical difference is and then divide it by the horizontal difference. That will give you slope.
Using trigonometry, we say that if the inverse tangent of y/x is greater than 3 degrees, then the slope is not suitable.
