length = 100
Perimeter = 2*100+2*70=340 yards.
Area = 7000 sq. yards.
..
to reduce the area keeping the perimeter same you have to decreas the width and increase the length.
Any value less than 70 will give a reduced area. The length will have to be increased by the same amount.

60 by 110 = 6600 sq. yards
perimeter remains the same.
