Question 243382: One refrigerator holds 2 2/3 cubic feet of food and another holds 5 3/4 cubic feet of food.
Express the ratio of the capacities as a ratio of whole numbers.
I am having a hard time figuring this out. Can someone please walk me through on how to solve this problem? It will be greatly appreciated.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Express 2 2/3 as an improper fraction 8/3.
Express 5 3/4 as an improper fraction 23/4

Now, form a ratio of these two numbers:
8%2F3DIVIDED by 23%2F4

INVERT the seconde number and multliply:
%288%2F3%29%2A%284%2F23%29
32%2F69
