You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let one side be given by l.
You are told the second side is also l
The third side is l%2B9
You know the perimeter is the sum of the sides. So
l+%2B+l+%2B+%28l%2B9%29+=+93
3l+%2B+9+=+93
3l+=+84
l+=+84%2F3
sides are 84/3, 84/3 and (84/3 + 9) = 111/3

The perimeter of a triangle is all 3 sides added up. The formula is P=A+B+C
Since 2 sides are the same, we will let them be X.
Since the third side is 9 more centimeters than the other ones, we will assign the third side to be X+9.
The Perimeter is 93cm.
So filling in the equation P=A+B+C we get:
93=X+X+(X+9)
Combining like terms we get:
93=3X+9
Subtract 9 from both sides:
84=3X
Divide both sides by 3 to get X alone on one side:
28=X
So now we know that X=28. So plugging that answer back into our assigned variables we know that the two equal sides of the triangle are 28cm's each. Adding 9cm to X to get the third side gives us 37cm.
ANSWER: Two sides of the triangle are 28cm's each, the third is 37cm.
