Find the measures of the three angles
:
Let x = the smallest angle
:
It says,"One angle of a triangle is 20⁰ larger than the smallest angle,"
therefore:
(x+20) = the other angle
:
Then it says,"the third angle is 6 times as large as the smallest angle."
therefore:
6x = the largest angle

The total of all three angles has to be 180, therefore
x + (x+20) + 6x = 180
8x = 180 - 20
8x = 160
x = 160%2F8
x = 20 degrees is the smallest angle
