Question 221294: 5.On a sunny day, a building and its shadow form the sides of a right triangle. If the hypotenuse is 32 m long and the shadow is 24 m, how tall is the building? Answer by sofiyac(983) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! ok, so the right triangle has three sides, we know two of them, hypotenuse and length. Since the triangle is a right triangle we can use a pathagorean theorem a=32 and b=24, so we just have to find c, lets plug in the values now lets move 576 to the other side by subtracting 576 from both sides now lets take square root of both sides to find c
so c = 21.166 so we can round it and say that c = 21.2 meters
