You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hello There,
The perimeter is the sum of all the sides added together. SO for this problem we need to find out the sides of the yard.
the perimeter of a rectangle yard is 290 feet. If its lenth is 25 feet greater than its width, what are the dimensions of the yard?
25 ft great means the length is ATLEAST 25 ft, go ahead and take two two of thos away from the 290 ft.
290 - 50 = 240
240 ft is left,
Divide...divide...
85 and 60
The width is 60 ft and the length is 85 ft
85 * 2 + 60 + 2 = 290
That is our answer!!
