The perimeter is 2 times the width plus 2 times the length. If the width is x and the perimeter is 6x+6, than the expression that equals the length would be:

length=%28%286x%2B6%29-2x%29%2F2

The expression above is derived from the following:
2%28width%29%2B2%28length%29=perimeter
2x%2B2%28length%29=6x%2B6
2%28length%29=6x%2B6-2x
length=%28%286x%2B6%29-2x%29%2F2

Now simplify the expression length=%28%286x%2B6%29-2x%29%2F2:
